Jordan Clarkson Keeps His Hot Touch in New York

The Filipino American award-winning sixth man helps keep the Knicks atop their division 12 seasons and $112 million into his NBA career.
Veteran shooting guard Jordan Clarkson’s career is showing remarkable vitality in his 12th NBA season. The 6'5" Filipino American is playing a key role for the New York Knicks in holding first place in the Atlantic Division and second overall in the East.
In his career Clarkson, 33, has averaged an impressive 15.8 points per game, supporting his total career earnings of over $112 million.
Clarkson’s NBA journey began when rights to his second round pick of the 2014 NBA Draftwere immediately traded to the Los Angeles Lakers. His solid contribution earned a spot on the 2015 NBA All-Rookie First Team. In his second year he was on the receiving end of the final assist from the late Kobe Bryant.
After being traded to the Cleveland Cavaliers during the 2018 season Clarkson played his first-ever playoff games, joining LeBron James in his last NBA Finals appearance as a Cavalier.
Two seasons later Clarkson was shipped from the Cavs to the Utah Jazz.
In 2021 he was honored with the NBA Sixth Man of the Year Award after a season averaging over 18 points and 4 rebounds per game. Two years later he earned a spot in the starting rotation by posting a career-high average of 20.8 points per game.
The San Antonio native began his college career at Tulsa, where he earned 2011 C-USA All-Freshman honors and was named First-team All-C-USA in 2012. He transferred to Missouri and was named Second-team All-SEC in 2014.
Clarkson’s mother is from Bacolor, Philippines. As a dual citizen he has represented the Filipino national team on the international stage. During the 2023 FIBA World Cup he played 5 games averaging 26 points and 5 assists for Gilas Pilipinas.
Off the court Clarkson has become a prominent fashion influencer with over 2 million Instagram followers. His sartorial style has attracted coverage at events like Paris Fashion Week and has been featured in Vogue Philippines. His social media stature yielded major brand deals with companies like Aldo, David Yurman and Lululemon.
